Honda to launch CB1000R inspired CB150R in India.

As per the recent announcement about launching new 2-wheelers every quarter of the year, Honda came up with the tweeked up engine technologies for Activa, Aviator and Dio. To carry forward the same, Honda is all set to bring the CB150R to India and the bike is expected to hit the roads on March 11.

The CB150R was unveiled at Jakarta Motorcycle Show last year and was said to be built especially for Asian Market. The bike is inspired by the giant naked beauty, the CB1000R and is plonked with the same engine they have on the CBR150R. To remind you, its a 149.4cc liquid cooled Fi engine with a 6-speed gearbox, churning out 16.8 horses at 10K RPM. The frame and the suspension is also borrowed from CBR150R. The riding stance is made more upright to suit the streetbike to give more comfort.

The bike comes to the most congested category of 150cc in our Indian motorcycles market, so its going to face tough competition from almost every motorcycle manufacturer in India. So, to prove itself on road, it will seriously require to prove itself on different fronts like refinement, comfort, agility as well as the favourite characteristic of us Indians, i.e., the mileage. All we can do right now is to sit back and expect it be priced aggressively to make it affordable atleast compared to the highly priced CBR150R.
