Ducati unveils 899 Panigale to replace 848 Evo in 2014.

Ducati has unveiled the new 899 Panigale which is said to replace the 848 Evo. This smaller sibling of the reknowned Panigale churns out 148bhp power at 10,750rpm and 99Nm of torque at 9,750rpm. It is lighter and more powerful than the 848 evo and resultantly, faster too.

The bike comes with advanced electronic goodies like DQS (Ducati QuickShifter), DTC (Ducati Traction Control), Ducati Riding Modes, Ducati Data Analyzer to help you on your track session and the EBC (Engine Braking Control).

If we look into the structure and frame of the bike,  it is based on an all new monocoque chassis and the swingarm is a two-sided one unlike the bigger Panigale which sports a stylish single sided swingarm. The wheels are 17" 10-spoke alloys with the Pirelli Rosso Corsa 120/70Z R17 plonked at front and 180/60Z R17 at rear. As always, the brakes come from Brembo being 320mm twin discs with a radial mount 4-piston monobloc caliper at front and 2-pot single disc setup at rear, offering great stopping power to the rider. The ABS unit is a 3-stage switchable one (Racing, Sport and Wet mode).
