After the news about Pulsar 200AS being spotted along with 200RS doing rounds on internet, the smaller Pulsar 150AS is reported to be spotted testing by someone at Autocar. As can be guessed from the pictures through that huge watermark, the motorcycle borrows its design and asthetics from the bigger sibling 200AS. The engine though being a 150cc liquid-cooled, triple spark one churning out 17PS of power and 13Nm of torque.
The front has a bikini faring emerging from the tank and embracing the handlebars with a headlamp protruding out of it. Handlebars are usual clip-ons behind a tall windshield which goes well with the naming convention that stands for Adventure Sports. The traditional twin spring suspension found on the old Pulsar 150 has given way to the new mono-shock unit.
The new 150 is now built over the perimeter frame which registered its entry into the Pulsar brand with the 200NS. Exhaust has also been moved under the engine so as to help with the mass centralization. Rest of the visible changes include a split seat, rearsets in footpegs, 20-0NS styled side-panels at the rear and the newer alloy wheels as seen on other new gen Pulsars.
What are your thoughts about the new Pulsar 150AS? Is it a good add-on into the Pulsar brand product line, or it is another On/Offroader which might feel a bit low at power for the kind of its duty?
