230bhp speculated 2015 Yamaha R1 spied!

After a lot of speculations and renderings based on them, the 2015 Yamaha R1 has been seen in action in Sydney. As speculated, its is going to get very serious upgrade this year. The image, though its not very clear, can only show you the cosmetic changes. Some are arguing about whether it is an R1 or R6 but if reporting of the picture taker is to be believed, it is definitely an R1 and not an R6.

Top Speeds - R25 Vs CBR 300R!!

Recently, we all have seen the images and video of Yamaha R25 flaunting its top speed over the internet. Everyone, including me, was very much impressed and elated by the numbers appearing on the speedo and thought it was FAST!! But hold your horses, the much awaited Honda CBR 300R is no less either. The pics and video surfacing on the web put it right beside the quarter litre Yammie in terms of top speed, whereas it deserves praises in looks department too. The new baby CBR now really looks like a CBR (Fireblade) finally coming out of the "CBR which looks like a VFR" controversy. We bring you both avatars of the dope to get high on to!

Yamaha to export "Made in India" bikes back to its home, Japan.

Twenty-seven years after setting up a manufacturing base in India, Yamaha Motor Company will export sports bikes to Japan from India, in what is a first in the history of Indian two-wheeler industry.
India Yamaha Motor, the subsidiary of the Japanese two-wheeler company, will be exporting its first shipment of 300 deluxe motorcycles R15, a 150cc sports bike manufactured at its plant in Surajpur.

The idea is to test the product in Japan; if the response is good, the company may even begin exports of another motorcycle, FZ, to its home market. Confirming the development, Hiroyaki Suzuki, MD, India Yamaha Motor, told ET: "The motorcycles manufactured in India meet the advanced specification of developed markets and they are produced at a lower cost. We are sending R15 to Japan to test market them in the Japanese market and if the response is good, we may explore more products for export to Japan and other advanced markets."

"Japan is a market for big bikes and racing motorcycles and within that, the 150 cc segment is emerging. Our R15 fits the image; not only is it easy to race and manoeuvre, but it could also be an ideal choice for entry-level racing," added Suzuki.
